Why is CSR important in sports?
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a powerful tool used to build and generate a current and future fan base that contributes positively to the business goals of any sports franchise or property.
This is in addition to the direct aid towards bridging the gap between haves and have-nots to bring laurels to the country in the area of sports and recreation sectors. There are many individuals and teams that have the capacity and talent to win medals at the international level, but due to a paucity of funds and resources, they are not able to achieve the same.
Similarly, more than anything, their contributions towards supporting sports also promote acceptance and respect. It also helps to empower young people and communities, as well as to achieve health, education, and social inclusion goals. Societies have started recognising sports as a powerful tool to spread good health, discipline, team spirit, fraternity, strong relationships, better communication and other skills which are not only important to open employment opportunities but also important as life skills. In addition, it reduces excess weight and enhances immunity. Hence, there have been increasing calls to allocate more CSR funds to the sports sector.
Raise funds now to become part of the Indian sports movement. Your individual support makes a difference. Who knows? The next athlete standing on the stage could be there because of your hand holding.
