Shooting Australia has named Bendigo as its preferred choice of location should it be successful in its campaign for shooting to be included on the sports programme for the Victoria 2026 Commonwealth Games.
The federation has proposed staging rifle and pistol events at the Bendigo Showgrounds and Wellsford Rifle Range. The Victorian State Range in nearby Echuca, meanwhile, has been nominated to host shotgun events
