Shakya Mitra

Shakya Mitra is a Sports Management and Sports Industry professional with nearly a decade’s experience of working in the sports field. He received his post graduate in Sports Management from the University of Stirling in Scotland before returning to India where he embarked on his career in the sports industry. Shakya worked with Sahara India Pariwar for a period of 4 and a half years where he worked for their Indian Premier League team. He also worked for their Hockey India League team and has contributed to Sahara’s endeavours in Formula One and Badminton.
Till August 2021 Shakya was working with the Sports Authority of India as a communications consultant for a period of 3 and a half years. He had contributed to media and digital campaigns related to the 2018 Asian Games and the Tokyo Olympics. He had also worked on the 2019 and 2020 Khelo India Games. Prior to his experience working with the Sports Authority of India, Shakya has also worked in Football’s Indian Super League for one season.
