National Task Force on Self Defense

Moto: to train and equip the “FIRST REPONDER” (the innocent target)

In the last few decades more and more women have been joining the work force in the country. Education of the girl child is no longer restricted to a select section of society. Be it the defense services, corporates, medicine, banking or blue collar jobs [skilled and un-skilled] women are making their mark on the growth story of the country and contributing actively to the GDP. This is a heartening trend and is expected to continue growing. However, as with all trends, this too has some unfortunate fall-outs.

Of late there has been an exponential rise in crimes against women. With more and more women stepping out of the 4 walls to join the active work force, the instances of such crimes will continue to rise unless stringent steps are taken to control the rising crime scene. The LEAs [law enforcement agencies] are doing their best to try and mitigate such instances, but at best it is a reactionary means rather than a proactive method. Under the circumstances it becomes necessary to inculcate the required skills (safety techniques and tactics), knowledge and confidence amongst girls and women and also create long term job opportunities as trainers in self-defense.

CSRI as an Apex Industry Association and business entity in India representing sports, realistic self-defence and ancillary industries, believes in aggregating the unorganised sector of trainers and security personnel in an organised manner.

This will go a long way in tapping the latent demand of skills and activities essential for a holistic approach of the overall development of Self-defence training and creating safe environments.

Our moto is to train and equip the “FIRST REPONDER” (the innocent target)

To buckle down the Instances of heinous crimes against women, us at CSRI with the help of international experts and professional organizations has prompted to develop a module for self-defense training for women and girl child. We have also setup a National Task Force on Self Defense to identify various issues around this maniac.
